details

Shujinko Ramen is a Melbourne hospitality fitout we completed in 2018 with our friends at Salt Design and Construction. Salt approached us to construct a number of standing screens as well as two different ceiling features. We collaborated with their team to ensure that our creations would fit the space. One ceiling feature was shoji screen inspired at 6m long and the other was made up of 50–60 feature bundles which fit together with hidden fixings. We factored in the prominent CBD corner location during the design process, so we could logistically get them in quickly and easily. All the timber was Vic Ash, stained in either walnut or black Japan. Time was of the essence on this job and we pulled out all stops to get it over the line within about 3 weeks. .
